Cabezoa | Commercial Photography
Generally, when we do an executive portrait for a client in our studio, we are asked to remove a piece of hair that was sticking up or that blemish that naturally comes the day of a photo shoot. We aren’t usually asked to remove the chair that the client is sitting on. For Cabezoa, we were asked to do just that. The short version of the story is that Cabezoa makes apps… they teamed with Agency Fusion, who does marketing and they in-turn approached us to help execute their vision. They wanted a photo of a man who was in a sitting position but without the chair. The concept for their website interface was designed so that they could swap out the items in the background the model was holding, or sitting on.
We found the perfect model for them and photographed him sitting on a chair with his hands in a position as if he was holding a phone or iPad, something else that they intended to draw in. After a bit of editing, we recreated the background, removed the chair and created a shadow. The final edit turned out pretty great. We couldn’t wait to see the final product!
Here’s a behind the scenes look at the raw image before removing the chair and editing the background.
