PPA Award | Photographic Craftsman
Um, I’m not sure if you are aware of this, but our very own Jaron is a big deal in the professional photography world. He has awards to prove it! And although he may not ever wear his medals in public, we are very proud of his accomplishments and qualifications. For those of you not familiar with the PPA, It is the Professional Photographers of America and comprises of 26,000 members. It is an organization that began in 1869 and is an internationally recognized forum for photographic activity, education, information and professional standards. Jaron has taught around the country in dozens of PPA groups, and we support the PPA’s contribution to the industry.
Here’s the official report:
Local Photographer Earns Craftsman Degree
Jaron Horrocks of Saans Photography was recognized for helping advance education and move the photography industry forward. He has earned the photographic craftsman degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The degree was presented to Jaron by PPA president Ralph J. Romaguera at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, held January 12-14, 2014, in Phoenix, Ariz.
This degree is not merely a piece of paper. It means that Jaron has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. He has been awarded the photographic craftsman degree in recognition of his service to the photographic profession as an orator, author and mentor.
Jaron’s degree—and all the expertise it requires—illustrates his accomplishments and talent as one of a select few.
